Diamond Girl Program
In August of 2025, Jamestown will be hosting the 2025 Babe Ruth 13 Year Old World Series. Eight Regional Champions from across the United States and one International Team from Australia as one from Jamestown, will make up the World Series participants. All games will be played at Diethrick Park in Jamestown beginning on Saturday, August 16th and continuing through Saturday, August 23rd.
Diamond Girls will be chosen to represent the ten teams and each girl will participate in all team and World Series activities. Once the Diamond Girls are chosen, meeting(s) will be held in Jamestown to familiarize the girls with the upcoming events. The Diamond Girls will need to be present when their teams arrive (August 14th), assist the workers at the World Series Headquarters (if needed), plus any other activities that might be scheduled, in addition to attending the ball games their team is participating. It is mandatory that all Diamond Girls attend all scheduled events and the games of the team they represent. There is a minimum of two (2) Diamond Girls per team. (10 teams)
We looking for volunteers as well as Ambassador families (we no longer have host families for this age group) and bat boys for the teams.
The role of the Ambassador is defined as someone who is interested as serving as both a support and friend for a specific team and their guests during the week of the World Series. We are asking that the ambassadors not only attend the games and cheer on the team they have been assigned to, but also serve as a support for the visitors to our community. We are hoping that the role of the ambassador will be the same as the Host Family role in the past with the exception of the boys staying in your home for a week. This is a great opportunity to support our community and a team that is experiencing a chance of a lifetime by participating in a World Series here in Jamestown. Perhaps if you considered being a Host Family in the past but didn't have the room to house players, now is a great opportunity to get involved and become an Ambassador.If you would like to get involved, please reach out to us.
